Effective Date: January 1, 2026

By submitting an order, making payment, or otherwise authorizing Foxie Legal to perform process serving or related services, the client acknowledges and agrees to the following Refund and Cancellation Policy.

1. Refund Eligibility Before Service Attempts Begin

A client may request cancellation and a refund only if no service attempt has been made or commenced on the order.

Once a service attempt has begun, all fees associated with that service request are earned and non-refundable, regardless of whether service is ultimately successful.

2. No Refunds Once Attempts Have Begun

Once Foxie Legal or an assigned process server begins performing the requested service, the order is no longer eligible for a refund.

This includes situations where:

The fee paid to Foxie Legal is compensation for the professional time, travel, preparation, administration, documentation, and field work associated with attempting service. Payment does not guarantee successful service.

3. Successful Service Is Not Guaranteed

Foxie Legal agrees to make reasonable service attempts in accordance with the service level purchased and the information supplied by the client.

Foxie Legal does not guarantee that a person or entity will ultimately be served.

An unsuccessful attempt, inability to locate the subject, inability to obtain access, avoidance of service, or completion of the authorized attempts without successful service does not create a right to a refund.

4. Communication and Status Updates

Foxie Legal strives to provide timely status information and respond to communications. However, communication issues do not affect the refund status of an order.

A delay, failure, or perceived failure to return a telephone call, respond to a text message or email, provide an immediate status update, provide an update at the frequency expected by the client, or otherwise communicate as quickly or effectively as the client would prefer does not entitle the client to a refund, partial refund, credit, reversal, or cancellation of charges once service attempts have begun.

Communication regarding an order is separate from the field work performed. Dissatisfaction with communication does not make completed or commenced service work refundable.

5. Client-Provided Information

The client is responsible for providing accurate and complete documents, names, addresses, deadlines, instructions, and other information necessary to perform the requested service.

Foxie Legal is not responsible for additional attempts or unsuccessful service resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading information supplied by the client or another party acting on the client’s behalf.

Such circumstances do not entitle the client to a refund once attempts have begun.

6. Cancellation Requests

Cancellation requests should be submitted to Foxie Legal as soon as possible.

A cancellation request is not effective merely because it was sent. If a service attempt has already begun before Foxie Legal receives and processes the cancellation request, the order remains non-refundable.

Clients should not assume that an email, voicemail, text message, or other cancellation request has been received or processed until cancellation is confirmed by Foxie Legal.

7. Refunds Before Any Attempt

If Foxie Legal confirms that (1) no service attempt has been made or commenced and (2) the service request has been successfully canceled before field work begins, the client will be eligible for a refund of the applicable service fee.

Once the first attempt begins, the right to a refund ends.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a payment dispute or chargeback does not alter this Refund and Cancellation Policy.

Foxie Legal may provide the payment processor, bank, card issuer, or other financial institution with records relating to the transaction, including the client’s order, acceptance of these terms, service instructions, attempt records, GPS or time records where available, correspondence, declarations, proofs of service, and other evidence demonstrating that the contracted services were performed or commenced.

A customer’s disagreement with the outcome of a service attempt or dissatisfaction with communication does not mean that the underlying payment was unauthorized or that the contracted service was not provided.

9. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this policy eliminates any right that cannot legally be waived or limits any remedy that applicable law requires Foxie Legal to provide.

Foxie Legal reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to issue a courtesy credit or refund in an individual situation. Any voluntary refund or credit does not create an obligation to provide a similar refund or credit in any other matter.

10. Acceptance of Policy

By placing an order with Foxie Legal, submitting payment, clicking an acceptance checkbox, electronically approving an order, or otherwise authorizing Foxie Legal to begin work, the client acknowledges that the client has reviewed and accepted this Refund and Cancellation Policy.

THE CLIENT EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES THAT ONCE A SERVICE ATTEMPT HAS BEGUN, THE SERVICE FEE IS EARNED AND NON-REFUNDABLE, WHETHER OR NOT SERVICE IS SUCCESSFUL AND REGARDLESS OF ANY DISSATISFACTION WITH COMMUNICATION OR STATUS UPDATES.
