Anyone can hire a process server — attorneys and law firms, businesses, self-represented litigants (pro per), and private individuals. You don't need to be an attorney to use our services. We work with all of the above and are happy to explain the process if you're unfamiliar with it.

We serve all types of legal documents including: summons and complaints, subpoenas (personal appearance and records), temporary restraining orders (TROs), restraining orders, unlawful detainer notices, divorce and family law papers, small claims court documents, eviction notices, and any other court-issued document requiring personal delivery.

Yes. Foxie Legal is a California Registered Process Server with . We are licensed, bonded, and insured as required by California law. Our proofs of service are signed under penalty of perjury and are fully court-admissible.

Our flat rates are: Standard Process Serving — $65 per address, Rush — $75 per address, Same Day — $95 per address, Court Filing — $50/filing, Stakeout — $50/hour. There are no per-attempt fees and no hidden charges. You know the exact price before we start. Court filing fees (paid to the court) are separate from our service fee.

No. Our standard service includes up to 4 attempts at different days and times — all for the flat $65 fee. You won't be charged extra for each attempt. If all 4 attempts fail, we'll discuss options like stakeout or substituted service.

You can pay securely online via our Order page using any major credit or debit card (powered by Stripe). Payment is processed before we begin service. For ongoing clients and law firms, we can discuss invoicing arrangements — contact us to set up an account.

Yes. Law firms and businesses with regular, high-volume needs can contact us to discuss preferred rates and billing arrangements. Call (949) 891-1639 or email foxielegal@gmail.com to talk about a custom arrangement.

Standard service includes up to 4 attempts at different times and days (morning, evening, weekend) to maximize the chance of successful service. If all attempts fail, we document everything and discuss next steps — substituted service, stakeout, or skip tracing.

A Proof of Service (POS) is a sworn declaration signed by the process server describing exactly how, when, and where the documents were delivered. It includes the date, time, location, description of the person served (or method of substituted service), and the server's signature under penalty of perjury. We deliver your proof electronically after every completed serve.

Yes. Rush service is $75 per address and provides a next-day first attempt. Same Day service is $95 per address and provides a same-day first attempt when the complete order, documents, and payment are received by the cutoff: 2 PM Pacific Time for home / residential addresses and 12 PM Pacific Time for business / commercial addresses. Same Day service is subject to availability. After the cutoff, Same Day can still be ordered. We will try to accommodate a same-day first attempt, but the first attempt may occur the next day.

Upload your documents directly on the online order form when placing your order. We accept PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG and PNG files, up to 10 files, 25MB each and 50MB total. If you need to send an additional document after ordering, email foxielegal@gmail.com and include your name and order details. Include the full name and address of the person to be served, and any special instructions. We'll confirm receipt and reach out if we have any questions before proceeding.

Under California law, a person does not have to physically accept documents. If they refuse, the server can place the documents near them and note it in the proof of service — this is still valid service. We're experienced with evasive recipients and know how to handle these situations legally and professionally.

Under California CCP § 415.20, if the person cannot be personally served after diligent attempts, you can leave documents with a competent member of the household or co-worker AND mail a copy. This is called substituted service. We document all prior attempts required to justify substituted service and prepare the proper proof of service.

Yes. We file at all branches of LA Superior Court, Orange County Superior Court, and San Diego Superior Court — including all district and branch courthouses. We're familiar with the filing windows, clerk procedures, and e-filing requirements at each location.
